Commercial Closeboard Fencing for Claremont Landscape Garden

Closeboard Fencing to Secure Claremont Landscape Garden

The National Trust’s Claremont Landscape Garden is a Grade 1 listed garden, created by the great landscape designers of the 18th century. Home to a nationally important collection of camellias, a glass amphitheatre, and a picturesque lake, this historic site attracts families, dog walkers, and nature enthusiasts alike. Ensuring the safety and security of the garden’s perimeter is critical to maintaining its welcoming and serene environment.

We were honoured to be commissioned by the National Trust to install new commercial closeboard fencing to enhance security and prevent unauthorised access. Before our work began, the site’s fencing was in poor condition, leaving the garden vulnerable to unwanted entry.

Tailored Closeboard Fencing for Historic Gardens

In our third project for the National Trust, we worked meticulously to remove the old fencing, ensuring minimal disruption to the surrounding landscape. Our team installed approximately 180 metres of 1.5m high treated softwood closeboard fencing panels, secured with concrete slotted posts and 300mm concrete gravel boards for enhanced durability. This combination delivers a robust, long-lasting, and professional finish that complements the heritage of the garden while meeting modern security requirements.

Durable and Professional Commercial Closeboard Fencing

The result was a secure, attractive fence designed to withstand the elements and the daily activity of visitors for years to come. By opting for closeboard fencing, the National Trust has ensured that Claremont Landscape Garden remains a safe and inviting destination for its visitors.
